How do you like to spend your leisure time?
I like to explore new things. Play new games, do a new puzzle, go for a walk/ride in a new place, meet new people, etc.
What are some of your pet peeves?
I hate it when people say "Hind sight is 20/20." They fail to understand the concept of Hindsight Bias.

Who is somebody from history that you look up to and why?
Abraham Lincoln - he was a very principled man and stood by his principles, even when those around him strongly disagreed. He also surrounded himself with very competent people who could carry out their roles very well, even when those people were his political or philosophical opponents. He never squandered the resources he had, and he always remembered that he had come from a poor background, which made him very personable and able to relate with the concerns of the population.

Who do you look forward to hearing from most during General Conference and why?
Dieter Uchtdorf - his talks are the most compassionate and thoughtful of the current apostles. He is always looking for reconciliation and inviting everyone to worship in their way.

What do you like most about our ward?
Like most people, group inclusion provides a sense of community and safety that are valuable to me. I appreciate that feeling in our ward. I have been in wards where there was some in-fighting and looking down on certain groups of members. I don't feel that in this ward.

What do you like most about church?
I like the sense of community and shared values. I appreciate the focus the Church puts on service.

What is your most embarrassing moment?
Jumped off a five-stair concrete stairway on roller blades and face planted. Obviously done to impress girls. Failed.

What is the craziest thing you have done?
Probably the same as above. Also went skinny-dipping in Alaska.

What are some of your favorite foods?
Kielbasa and Cabbage; Mexican street tacos; Vietnamese chicken wraps

What are some foods that you hate?Mushrooms and Tomatoes; Processed Guacamole

Halloween - Costumes & parties; Thanksgiving - Family; Christmas - Gifts given and received

What is your least favorite holiday and why?
Labor day - What exactly are we celebrating?

Taking my wife and 2 oldest kids to Quebec

What is one of your dream vacations?
Spending a week in Tahiti; Living on a sailboat; Scuba diving in Australia

What is the scariest thing you have done?
Get married

If you could become any animal, what would it be and why?
Octopus. Highly intelligent and not many predators. Or maybe a dinosaur.

If you had to describe yourself with only three words, what would they be?
Intelligent; Curious; Loyal
